Tokens
What Flamio tokens pay for, where your balance comes from, and how to see what spent it.
Tokens are how Flamio charges for AI work. Every AI feature — Vision analysis reports, Scout runs, messages to Flami and On-Live monitoring — spends tokens from your organization's balance. For current token prices, see Pricing.
How tokens work
- One balance per organization. The balance belongs to the organization, not to a person. Every member sees the same number and the same history.
- Tokens come from your plan and from top-ups. A paid plan adds its allowance every month. The Free plan gives a one-time grant. You can also buy one-time token packs or redeem a promo code from the Flamio team. See Plans and Payments and token packs.
- Tokens never expire. Unspent tokens carry over from month to month and from plan to plan, and they stay usable after you cancel.
- At zero, AI runs pause. A new AI run is refused with the Out of tokens dialog until someone tops up.
Check your balance and what spent it
Any role can see the balance and the history.
Open usage
Click Settings in the sidebar, then Usage under Billing.
Read the balance
The large number under Token balance is followed by tokens remaining. Your current plan is shown beside it.
Read the history
Scroll to Usage history. Each row shows Date, Activity, Project, Tokens and Balance after the change. Use Previous and Next to page through older rows.
Result: you see what spent your tokens and where they came from. The Activity column names the source:

Spending shows as a negative number, credits as a positive one. Until anything happens, the table reads No token activity yet.
You also see the balance in two other places: the Tokens row in the project menu at the top of the sidebar, and the ring around your avatar at the top right.
When the balance runs low
When the balance gets low, Usage shows "Your balance is running low — AI runs will pause once it reaches zero." and the notifications bell warns you. At zero, it shows "You've used all of your tokens. New AI runs are paused until your balance is topped up."
Click Top up under the message to open Plans & billing. Only the Owner can buy a plan or tokens there.
Limitations
- Flamio does not export usage, filter it by date, or break it down by member — Usage history is a paged table with fixed columns. Instead, use the Project column to see which project spent the tokens.
- Flamio does not have an account-wide spending cap, a monthly budget or automatic top-up — at zero, every AI run is refused until someone buys a plan or a token pack. Instead, watch the low-balance warning. Scout has its own limits: each run stops at its Research budget, and Monthly budget (tokens) on the Release checks card caps automatic release checks.
